Updater is a certified integration partner of MRI. The below contains instructions on how to integrate Updater directly with MRI for SaaS and On-Premise Clients.
Once the integration is setup, we connect on a daily basis and programmatically pull information for any new residents that are moving in or out of your properties. We then use that information to create Updater invites for each resident
Integration Setup
For SaaS Clients;
- Complete a Partner Connect Agreement
- Before you are able to integrate with Updater (an MRI Partner), you must have a MRI “Partner Connect” Agreement in place. This authorizes Updater to access your resident information within MRI. Please contact your MRI Account Executive in order to receive the appropriate form.
- Submit Support Case via myMRI Client Portal
- Use our template:
- Once you submit the request below, MRI will process the request on the following Wednesday or Friday and return the requested information.

** Find your database name in the upper right corner or the bottom-middle of your home screen**
- Send Web Service User Credentials to your success@updater.com including:
- User ID & Password
- Database Name
- Client ID
- MRI Version
- API Farm URL
We’ll setup the integration utilizing this information and will reach out to confirm that we’re receiving correct resident information.
For On-Premise Clients (Self Hosted);
- Complete a Partner Connect Agreement
- Before a you are able to integrate with Updater (an MRI Partner), you must have a MRI “Partner Connect” Agreement in place. This authorizes Updater to access your resident information within MRI. Please contact your MRI Account Executive in order to receive the appropriate form.
- Once the Partner Connect Agreement is finalized, you will receive a new MRI license file that you will need to apply to your environment. After you apply the license, run a “Database Upgrade” in order to access the MRI Toolkit.
- Before a you are able to integrate with Updater (an MRI Partner), you must have a MRI “Partner Connect” Agreement in place. This authorizes Updater to access your resident information within MRI. Please contact your MRI Account Executive in order to receive the appropriate form.
- Submit Support Case via myMRI Client Portal
- Use our template below:

- Apply Cabinet Files to Your Database
- Once MRI processes your request (Wednesdays only), they will send you the new Partner Key and the appropriate cabinet files
- If you need assistance applying the files to your database, please submit a request via your myMRI Client Portal
- Create a Web Service User Account for Updater
- Go to your Security Console and create a new user
- Check the “Web Services” box and assign the user to a “Web Services” security role
- Grant that Web Services security role access to the following APIs:

MRI_S-PMRM_PendingMoveIns
MRI_S-PMRM_PendingMoveOuts
MRI_S-PMRM_ResidentialBuildings
MRI_S-PMRM_ResidentialUnits

Resident-contact (With INCLUDENEWRESIDENTS=Y flag) - Send Web Service User Credentials to success@updater.com. In order to complete the integration, we need the following:

We’ll setup the integration in our testing environment and will reach out to confirm that we’re receiving correct resident information.
** Please note that no resident invites will be sent prior to your approval**
Once we confirm we’re receiving resident information correctly the integration is all set and you are ready to go-live!
