The below contains instructions on how to integrate with Updater via Yardi Reporting functionality. The Updater Invites Report works off off a normal Yardi user account.
Once the report setup is complete, the report can be submitted to a desginated email for processing provided by your CSM. We then use that information to create Updater invites for each resident.
Reporting Integration Setup
FOR SASS AND SAAS SELECT CLIENTS:
1. Save the Updater Invites report to your computer
- File Name: 'rs_SQL_updater.text'
2. Open YClient and login to Citrix to access Yardi's backend
3. Locate the folder where you saved the Updater Invites report
4. Highlight the Updater Invites report and copy it to the Live folder on the I:/drive. To do this click Edit->Copy to Folder
5. Viola! The Updater Invites report will appear in the SQL Reports
FOR SELF-HOSTED YARDI CLIENTS:
1. Save the Updater Invites report to your computer
1. File Name 'rs_SQL_updater.txt'
2. Locate your Yardi install on the server
3. Highlight the Updater Invites report file and copy it to the iLive (reports directory) folder
4. Viola! The Updater report will appear in the SQL Reports
Setting Up the Report Scheduler
1. Create the Report Packet
1. Click System Admin -> Admin -> Report Scheduler ->
1. Add Report Packet:
1. Fill in required fields and Save.
1. Name: Updater Invites
2. Description: UPdater report to generate client invites
2. Click on the Add Report Files button, which will open a new window
1. Select the Updater report 'rs_SQL_updater.txt' and click OK
3. Click the 'Filter' button and select Landscape
1. Be sure to select Excel (.xls) as teh file formate before saving
2. Add Distribution Members
1. Click System Admin -> Admin -> Report Scheduler -> Add Distribution Manager
1. Fill in required fields
1. Code: updater
2. Last Name: Updater
3. Email: invites@updater.com
4. Check the Active box
5. Under the Property Section,
1. Select '.all' from the drop down
2. Check consolidate to run the report for the entire property list
6. Under the Report Packets section, select the Updater Invites report
2. Create a New Scheduler Event
1. Click System Admin -> Admin -> Report Scheduler -> Add Scheduler Event.
1. Fill in required fields
1. Member: updater
2. Report Packet: Updater Invites
2. Click Submit
3. Report Schedule Event Screen will appear, make sure email <token> invites@updater.com is selected and click Save
4. Run Report
1. Click Run Now
2. Click Dates
3. Under the Date Generator section
1. Every week on Monday at 6:00am EST for 99999
4. Click Go
5. Click Save
Updater Invites Report Breakdown
The Updater invites report includes all of the information we need in order to invite your clients to use your branded Updater site. We wanted to provide a brief overview of the information that is required as well as where that information is pulled from in Yardi.
- First Name - This data pulls from the Resident Screen, First Name field.
- Last Name - This data pulls from the Resident Screen, Last Name field.
- Resident Code - This data pulls from the Resident Screen, t-code and identity code 4.
- Move in Date - This data pulls from the Resident Screen, Move in field 5.
- Move Out Date - This data pulls from the Resident Screen, Move in field 6.
- Email Address - This data pulls from the Resident Screen, E-mail field.
- Alt Email - This data pulls from the Resident Screen, Alt. Email field.
- Mailing Address - This data pulls from the Resident, Prospect, or Unit Screen based on the tenant status, Address, City, ST and Zip fields.
- Property Name (code) - This data pulls from the Property Screen, Property Code and Identity fields.
- Property Address - This data pulls from the Property Screen, if not entered from the Unit screen, Address, City, ST and Zip fields.
