Below is a sample email that can be used to increase Updater usage at one of your properties.
Hi [Property Name] Team,
We’ve noticed that several of your future residents are not leveraging Updater to manage their move-in tasks. We know you may need some more time or support, so here are a few steps to take to make sure future residents know that Updater is our required system to manage their move.
1. Tell future residents that Updater is the app they'll use to manage their move. This conversation should happen before lease approval when you share what to expect about our move-in process. Additional resources to share with future residents can be found here.
2. Let future residents know what’s in it for them - saving time and money. Updater helps them quickly accomplish move-in tasks required to pick up their keys – all in one place. Additionally, it helps them manage other move-related tasks like hiring movers, changing their address, and purchasing moving supplies.
3. Follow up when tasks remain incomplete. Updater will send automated reminders, but it never hurts to add a personal touch. Try some of these tactics:
- Make sure they’ve been able to log in. If they are having issues, you can direct them to the Updater Help Center or you can resend the invite through Updater.
- Create some urgency by reminding them of deadlines for required tasks.
