Once your future resident has completed a task that requires your review (like proof of insurance or utilities), you will receive a notification in your Updater dashboard and an email letting you know there are onsite team action items to address.
There are several ways to review resident-submitted tasks in Updater:
Via "Daily Tasks" tab
- Login to Updater
- Click on the Daily Tasks Tab in the left menu
- Bulk review tasks for an individual resident by clicking on the resident's name - a sidebar with all tasks needing review will pop up; or
- Review individual tasks by navigating to the Resident Task tab inside your Daily Tasks and clicking the links under the Actions column.
Via "Residents" tab
- Login to Updater
- Click on Residents Tab in the left menu
- Click on Resident you are working with
- If there are submissions to be reviewed, the Review next task button will be blue. Click on the Review tasks button.
- Review the task
- If ready to approve, select approval reason
- Click Approve
- If a task does not meet approval expectations, reject the approval by clicking Reject task and provide a reason for denying the task.
- Resident will be notified about the change in status and prompted to re-visit the task if it is rejected.
If a task only needs to be completed once for a unit and the unit has roommates, leasing team members can manually mark a task as complete for a future resident once the task has been completed by one roommate. To manually mark a task as complete:
- Navigate to the future resident's profile via the Residents tab,
- Click on the task you want to manually complete on behalf of the resident,
- Select Completed by roommate from the Reason for approval dropdown menu
- Click Approve task
