Overview
We, as Updater, have an integration with Yardi—specifically, the product called Voyager. Our integration with Voyager enables us to do the following:
- Intake (pull/read) prospect/applicant/resident data
- Push data to the respective prospect/applicant/resident
From here, we are able to organize, store, and translate the data into actionable insights that ensure our UPO/UP offerings reflect those residents.
Setup Instructions (requirements)
To Enable a Yardi Voyager Partner Integration, take the following steps:
Pre-requisites: The following is required to complete the integration.
- Voyager 7S with InterfacesPIv24.1, InterfacesILSGuestCardPIv23, and InterfacesCommonDataPIv21 or higher is required to complete integration.
- Your Yardi account manager can determine if you have the correct Interfaces Plug-in version and assist you with implementation if needed.
- You must have System Administrator access to complete this setup
- Contact Yardi Technical Support to obtain Updater add-on package
- Load the vendor package to add Updater into your Voyager database
- Download Yardi Interface Setup Guides from Yardi Client Central if needed
Within Yardi Voyager Steps:
- Create a property list of all properties named “Updater Property List”
- Note: We will never invite residents from properties that are not approved
- Configure Updater Vendor for ILS/Guest Card Interface
- Go to Interfaces from the side menu, select Configuration select Review Interface Vendors
- Choose ILS/Guest Card from Entity Type drop-down
- Submit
- Select Updater from the available vendors list
- Select the following ILS/Guest Card Options:
- Activity in the last: 30 days
- Schema: v4.0
- Floor plan: Unchecked
- Export all guest cards: Checked
- Export federal identification: Unchecked
- Update prospect agent: Unchecked
- Import/Export Types: Select All for both tenant and prospect
- Save
Setup Interface User for Updater
- Create security user group - if not already created
- Link user group to menu set - if not already created
- Set permissions as follows:
- Permission level: Most Restrictive
- Access type: Read/Write
Configure Properties for Updater
- Select Interfaces, select Configuration, select Bulk Property Configuration
- Select the property list you created for Updater
- Select interface type ILS/Guest Card
- Select Updater from Available Agencies
- Save
- Access type: Read/Write
Configure Updater Vendor for Common Data Interface
- Go to Interfaces, select Configuration, select Review Interface Vendors
- Choose Common Data from Entity Type drop-down
- Adjust Display Rows to 500
- Submit
- Select Updater from the available vendors list
- Select the following Common Data Configuration settings:
- Ignore Exclude Units Flag: Unchecked
- Export Document Number: Unchecked
- Permission Access:
- Name: Read
- Address: Read
- Phone Numbers: Read
- SSN: None
- Vehicle:Read/Write
- Ledger: None
- Lease Charges: None
- Lease Offers: Read
- Scheduled Lease Renewals: Read
- Rentable Items: None
- User Defined: Read
- Pets: Read/Write
- Date of Birth: None
- Driver's License: Read/Write
- Email: Read *IMPORTANT to not skip this step
- Import/Export Attachment Types (select following):
- Roommate Attachment
- Tenant Attachment
- If you do not see these Attachment types available, then they will need to be added;
- To do this: Select System > Attachment Types.
- In Object Type field, select an object type Tenant.
- In the Description field, type Attachment.
- In a new blank Object Type field, select an object type Roommate.
- In the corresponding Description field, type Attachment.
- If you do not see these Attachment types available, then they will need to be added;
- If other or custom Attachment Types have already been created and are used in lieu of Roommate or Tenant Attachment Types, please communicate this with your onboarding specialist.
- Click Save.
- Save
Provide Updater with needed access credentials:
- Voyager URL (Updater appends the appropriate web service extension to the Voyager URL)

- Example Resident Data URL: https://www.yardiasp14.com/53423cop/webservices/itfresidentdata.asmx
- Interface username and password
- Example:
- Interface user: Updater

- Database name: Example: Live Database: knzs_live

- Server name (SQL Server, NOT web server)
- Must be exactly the same as the Database Name if Yardi-hosted
